Photobiomodulation: A New Approach to Retinal Disease Description

The light at the end of the tunnel for dry AMD and potential for other retinal diseases consists of a multiwavelength approach to stimulate cellular function. 

The Valeda Light Delivery System is the first approved photobiomodulation (PBM)-based treatment for dry age related macular degeneration (AMD). PBM – also known as low-level light therapy – uses light exposure to stimulate cellular function, leading to beneficial clinical effects.
