Mark Blecher

Mark Blecher is the co-director of the Cataract Service at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, USA and Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at nearby Thomas Jefferson University. Mark can claim to have trained more cataract surgeons in the US than almost anyone else, and was recently the recipient of Wills Eye Hospital’s greatest honor, the Silver Tray Award. He also operated on his own mother at her insistence and when he’s not lecturing, teaching or with patients, he retreats to his farm to recharge.
